About Me

Hello Sunshine!
I'm Jen Toll — knitter, mender, crocheter, and embroiderer.

Fiber arts of all kinds bring me joy, and are my favorite outlets for creativity. Color and texture are my muses, and yarn, thread and fabric are my mediums. As a designer, I strive to write patterns that are clear and concise, with plenty of tips to make your knitting stress-free — even if you're learning something new.

As a mender, I believe in repairing rather than replacing. A worn or torn piece isn't the end of the story; with visible-mending and creative stitchwork it becomes a unique, wearable piece of art.

I offer mending on commission and knitting lessons — self-paced online, plus one-on-one in person for local folks. Self-paced mending lessons coming soon!

When I'm not knitting or stitching, you'll find me in my kitchen, my garden, or the woods around my home. I'm a Northern California native, living my best life now in the forested mountains of the Berkshires. Being in nature is where most of my inspiration comes from, and it has a way of turning up in my work, in color and texture.

There is beauty in imperfections, and beauty itself is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
