Free knitting summit, October 5 to 9

I want to tell you about something free that I think you will actually use.

The Knitters Paradise Summit 2026 runs October 5 to 9. Twenty four sessions with knitters who genuinely know their material, and registration costs nothing. Each session opens free for 48 hours, and Encore Weekend on October 11 and 12 reopens everything, so you can watch across the whole stretch from the 5th to the 12th. Here is what makes this one different. It is not a week of patterns. Almost every session is about the thing that happens after you can already knit: why the sweater did not fit, why the socks bunch at the ankle, what the pattern is not telling you, and what to do about all three.

• Nicole Bishop, a paralegal by day, who reads knitting patterns the way she reads legal documents, assuming one of them is lying to her
